ACM’s 2024 Entertainer of the Year Set to Perform at BCMF’s 5-Year Anniversary
WILDWOOD, N.J. (October 4, 2024) ━ The Barefoot Country Music Fest (BCMF) is excited to announce Lainey Wilson as a headliner for the 2025 festival, scheduled for June 19-22, 2025. Wilson, who recently took home Female Artist of the Year and the top prize of Entertainer of the Year at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, is set to deliver a show-stopping performance on Wildwood’s iconic beach.
Wilson has rapidly gained recognition in the country music world, becoming one of Nashville’s most celebrated talents. Known for her unique “Bell Bottom Country” sound, which blends traditional country with modern influences, Wilson has captivated audiences worldwide. Her PLATINUM Certified ACM Song of the Year, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” and the chart-topping “Never Say Never” collaboration with Cole Swindell, and her hit single “Heart Like a Truck” are just a few highlights from her growing catalog.
On August 23, 2024, Wilson released her fifth studio album, Whirlwind, featuring the lead single “Hang Tight Honey.” The album further solidifies her status as one of the genre’s most dynamic and innovative artists.
BCMF 2025: A Milestone Celebration
As the Barefoot Country Music Fest celebrates its 5-year anniversary, this year’s event is expected to draw an even larger crowd. BCMF 2025 will feature over 40 artists performing across five stages, continuing its tradition of showcasing both top-tier country music talent and emerging stars. Wilson’s headlining performance adds to the excitement, making this year’s festival one not to miss.
“We’re excited to announce Lainey Wilson as the first of four headliners for the 2025 Barefoot Country Music Fest,” said Bob Durkin, co-founder of Southern Entertainment. “As the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Lainey is unquestionably the most influential woman in country music right now. About Lainey Wilson:
CMA 2022 Female Vocalist of the Year, CMA 2022 New Artist of the Year, and ACM’s 2022 New Female Artist of the Year, Lainey Wilson has earned the enthusiasm of the industry. Having been named to nearly every “Artist to Watch” list, being crowned Billboard’s “Top New Country Artist of 2021,” and earning CMT’s 2022 “Breakout Artist of the Year” honor, the Louisiana native is one of Nashville’s hottest and most buzzed-about new artists. Landing her first No. 1 with her PLATINUM Certified ACM Song of the Year “Things A Man Oughta Know,” nearly 10 years to the day after leaving her small farming community in a camper trailer to chase her dreams, she has won over legions of fans with her signature Bell Bottom Country sound and aesthetic, which blends traditional Country with a modern yet retro flare. A prolific and sought-after songwriter (having co-writer credits on songs by artists including Luke Combs, Flatland Calvary and more), Lainey is a fresh, fierce voice in Nashville, delivering CMA nominated album of the year with her label debut, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’. With a rockstar stage presence, her artistry has taken her across the globe, performing for sold-out crowds throughout the US, UK, and Germany with notable names like Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, HARDY, Jason Aldean, Ashley McBryde, and more. After topping the country radio charts for a second time with the two-week No. 1 hit, “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell, her current single “Heart Like a Truck” is Top 15 and climbing, with the HARDY collaboration “wait in the truck” sitting close behind in the Top 20. Her new album, “Bell Bottom Country,” is out now and she can currently be seen guest starring in Season 5 of the hit series, “Yellowstone”. Ready to take the show on the road, Wilson kicks off 2023 with a nearly sold out 28-date first ever headlining tour presented by Stella Rosa.
