I caught up with rising country artist Myles Morgan on Bob Durkin’s tour bus at the Barefoot Country Music Fest—and let’s just say, this Alabama native’s story is as electric as his set. Myles may be new to the scene, but his energy, humility, and grit make it easy to see why he’s headed straight for the spotlight. Here’s how our Fast Tracks conversation went down.

🎤 1. First impressions—how does it feel to be here at BCMF?

“The people here are fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect, but everyone’s been so kind, so welcoming. I love it.”

🎧 2. Country music is having a major moment—what do you think is driving the genre’s popularity?

“Country is definitely cool again. Social media—especially TikTok—has made it possible for anyone to blow up. Whether you’ve been doing music your whole life or just picked up a guitar yesterday, your video could go viral. That’s exciting.”

🎸 3. What sparked your journey into country music?

Believe it or not, Myles was a lifelong baseball player until senior year.

“My dad randomly decided to buy a guitar one day, so I got one, too. I started learning a few chords, and after we moved to Orange Beach, I walked into a steakhouse and asked to play. They said, ‘We just had a cancellation. You’re on—Cinco de Mayo. Three-hour set.’ I knew eight songs. So I went home and learned 40 more.”

From steakhouses to the University of Alabama to Nashville, Myles made connections, played the Florabama, and launched his debut single—all before hitting the big stage.

🔥 4. What’s the one song that hits different live?

“Definitely ‘Nobody’s Fault but Yours.’ It’s my debut single and has a rock and roll edge. That one means a lot—it gets the crowd into it.”

🌟 5. What do you want fans to remember after seeing your set?

“I hope they say, ‘That was so much fun.’ Because if people have fun, they’ll come back.”

Bonus Track: Dream Collaboration?

“Morgan Wallen—he’s been one of my favorites for years. And Chris Stapleton—that would be a dream. Two very different artists, both amazing.”

From his unexpected guitar journey to his breakout moments on stage, Myles Morgan is the kind of artist who reminds us that country music is about real stories, raw grit, and connecting with people. Follow him now—you’ll want to say you knew him before he blew up.
