Country music powerhouses Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton have teamed up for a long-awaited true duet, and it’s every bit as moving as fans hoped. Their new single, “A Song To Sing,” is now available on all major streaming platforms and is set to impact country radio beginning Monday, July 14.

Rooted in rich tradition yet strikingly fresh, “A Song To Sing” captures the kind of timeless magic only two of the genre’s most celebrated voices can deliver. The track was co-written by Lambert and Stapleton alongside Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor, and produced by GRAMMY-winner Dave Cobb.

The sound is unmistakably classic — echoing the golden age of country music with gentle Wurlitzer tones, smooth guitars, and heartfelt vocals that lean into the spirit of legends like Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Lambert and Stapleton trade verses before joining in on a soaring chorus:

“You are a part of me / Baby you’re the heart of me / Together we can write a song to sing / And in that melody / Baby you’re the harmony / That you just can’t find anywhere.”

Beyond the melody, the song is a reflection on soul, love, and the grounding power of music. Pollstar calls it, “a true north and a hinge for the future… Musically robust, they want to make actual Country music with their roots firmly planted.”
